About Emily Gould NP, myoActivation® Practioner
Emily Gould is a Family Nurse Practitioner based in Comox Valley, British Columbia. Throughout her career, she has witnessed firsthand how persistent pain and limited mobility can affect every aspect of a person's life—from work and recreation to sleep, relationships, and overall well-being.
Motivated to find treatments that addressed the root cause of pain rather than simply managing symptoms, Emily began training in myoActivation® in 2023. Since then, she has completed Levels 1–4 through the Anatomic Medicine Foundation, an advanced educational program for regulated healthcare professionals that combines in-depth anatomy, evidence-informed pain science, and extensive hands-on clinical training. This comprehensive education has equipped her with the skills to assess and treat many forms of chronic myofascial pain using a safe, precise, and effective needling technique.
The results she witnessed in her patients transformed her approach to pain care. Instead of relying primarily on medications to temporarily mask symptoms, she found a treatment methodology focused on identifying and treating the underlying contributors to pain and movement dysfunction, helping patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements with minimal risk.
Today, Emily brings the same clinical rigour, thoughtful assessment, and genuine curiosity to every patient she sees. Her approach is calm, thorough, and centred on listening—taking the time to understand your history, your goals, and the factors contributing to your pain. She believes every patient deserves to be heard and to have a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.
Her goal is simple: to help you move with less pain, restore function, and return to the activities that bring you joy and improve your quality of life.

What Patients Say
“The session really helped me work through back stiffness and regain mobility. I couldn't believe how effective it was.”

“Emily is a highly skilled and high touch practitioner. I felt immediate shifts in mobility and range of movement and even a deeper overall relaxation throughout my whole body. Wish I lived closer to have more sessions with her. She’s a gem of a practitioner. ”
Joy S. / San Francisco, 49
“After years of working at a desk job, I developed a lot of tightness and pain in my neck and shoulders. I would see my chiro and RMT regularly, and this would help temporarily dissipate the symptoms, but without long-term improvement. I decided to try myofascial needling and I wanted to focus my treatment for my shoulders, traps and neck. From my very first appointment, I noticed so much benefit. I felt relaxation in my muscles, better range of motion, release from tension headaches, and major improvement in my symptoms from TMJ, with long-lasting relief. Emily Gould is an attentive, thorough practitioner - she knows so much about this modality and all the ways it can be tailored to help her patients. She inquired about a couple of scars that I have and offered to do scar-release with needling - this immediately helped relieve tension that I didn’t even realize my body was still holding. Myofascial needling was minimally invasive, the benefits for me have been long-lasting and so effective, I would highly recommend this type of treatment and Emily as a practitioner - she is the very BEST!!”
